Legacy Straps was founded in as Leather Legacy. At that time, as
the name suggests we made all types of leather goods and sold our wares at Arts and Crafts shows
around the country. Being a guitar player myself, it was only natural for me to include guitar
straps and musical accessory straps in our product line. The first guitar straps we made were
custom hand tooled leather straps. Some were padded with sheepskin, others were just plain soft
leather straps but in all cases they were designed to be comfortable. Comfortable guitar straps!
What a concept. When I started looking around in various music stores at the guitar straps that
were being offered I saw straps being made with paper thin leather ends, poor quality materials
and shoddy workmanship. It was then that I decided to turn my attention to producing guitar straps.
Straps unlike anything on the market. Straps with leather end made only of the highest quality materials.
Straps that were soft and comfortable in unique designs. Not long after the introduction of our
Leather Straps we introduced a line of polypropylene straps(poly straps). These straps that
are still in production today are available in thirteen different colors. As word of our guitar
straps spread thru the local music stores we saw other needs for comfortable straps. From the poly
guitar strap the line expanded to include a neoprene padded guitar strap called the Ultra guitar
strap. The Ultra guitar strap is undoubtedly one of the most comfortable straps on the market today.
I designed it for heavy guitars like Les Pauls, and heavy basses and banjos. The shoulder pad is made
of a soft pliable comfortable pad of neoprene foam rubber. This is reinforced with a two inch cotton
web for added strength and form. There is a separate sub section of the Ultra that is made of a high
quality stretch elastic material to allow the strap to stretch. The combination of the neoprene padded
shoulder pad and the stretch make the Ultra Guitar strap one of the most comfortable guitar straps on
the market today. Next came the saxophone straps. The neoprene pad material was perfect for the neckpad
of a saxophone strap. It was soft, comfortable, and high quality. Our Saxophone strap line has grown
to include a stretch padded saxophone strap, a baritone saxophone strap and our Comfort king sax strap.
The Comfort king neck pad is made of a different type of foam which is super soft.
While poly guitar straps look great on electric guitars in their hot rock and roll colors there was
something that just didnt look right when you put a poly strap onto an expensive acoustic guitar.
The beautiful woods used in acoustic guitars just didnt look right with a synthetic poly guitar strap.
Enter our line of Natural cotton guitar straps. The natural fibers in our cotton guitar strap are
the perfect accessory for your beautiful natural finish guitars. The colors available in the cotton
strap are dark rich colors like black, chocolate brown, forest green, navy blue, wine and more.
The natural fibers while they compliment the guitars are also cooler to wear than a poly strap. By
that I mean the natural fibers breathe and allow air to circulate under the strap. Our cotton
guitar strap is second to none in its quality of materials and workmanship and is our best selling
strap.

ever exactly the same. We custom mix our colors so they are always in step with the latest fashion

Another guitar strap that is unique to Legacy is our
line of Graphic design cotton guitar straps. Colorful one to four color graphic designs
are applied to the guitar straps. The base strap is our high quality cotton strap. There
are many designs from Lightning bolts to crosses from tumbling dice to checkerboards.
